Day# 124 - Iraqi Independence Day

Well today is June 30th and so far it hasn't been any different than the last 124 days I have been here. The Army stopped all ground patrols in Mosul last night and officially returned control of the city over to the Iraqis this morning. The day is not over yet but as of right now all is quiet here in Mosul. I'll keep you updated.

Took this picture outside one of the abandoned mosques located on our compound. Thought it was a great shot at dusk with one of the Army's helicopters flying above Mosul in the background.

Glad to hear it's stable over there, 2 more months until Disney! You have a steady stream of patients at the ER these days?
