We finished up the last of our training today with weapons qualification. Happy to say I qualified as a sharp shooter and missed qualifying as an expert by only 2 shots. Finished packing tonight and we leave tomorrow evening. Not really looking forward to the 20+ hour flight. As of now the plan is to fly from Atlanta to Maine, re-fuel and then fly from Maine to Germany. Another short layover in Germany and then we fly to Kuwait arriving sometime Sunday morning. Probably spend 4-5 days in Kuwait and then head to our location in Iraq. Sorry but for operational security I can't mention where in Iraq just yet. Well, the next time we chat it will be from the sandbox, as I start my goverment sponsored vacation to the desert ... next stop Iraq!
The kids gave me some of there favorite toys to bring on my journey so I had to get a picture of them with the luggage. Belle (from Beauty and the Beast is in the yellow dress and is Jenna's favorite; Lightning McQueen (red car) is compliments of Ben, and the black and white dog is Ryan's and he likes to hold it whenever we go somewhere in the car (it is a cheap little toy that was in a McDonald's Happy Meal but he loves the thing).

rumor has it on rain forest cafe's website that they're opening a new location in kuwait city AND our waiter from SA just got a promotion to head waiter. send him my congrats...seriously, hope you get there okay and can catch up on some much needed sleep.
